Photo AI not saving any file

Photo AI doesn’t save any file. I tried using Photo AI as standalone and via Lightroom Classic plugin. I tried uninstalling and installing the software again.

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Import Canon RAW file (.cr3 extension).
2. Apply noise reduction, sharpening, etc.
3. Save image to the same folder as the original. I also tried saving to a new folder. The default seems to try saving .cr3 file as .dng.

After checking Windows Defender logs, I noticed that it prevented Photo AI to save files because controlled folder is enabled. The solution is to disable controlled folder or add an exception for Photo AI. The fact that Windows Defender blocked the app silently made the issue difficult to troubleshoot.
