Photo AI (latestet update) does not remove noise unless I manually move the slider to the on position

[Please describe your issue here. Try to include logs (Help → Logging) and add screenshots if necessary.]
I use Photo AI as a plug in for Elements 2022. It worked just fine until about a week or so ago. Now, Autopilot will not remove noise automatically. After I activate the plug-in, it scans the photo, then it starts its magic. The Denoise function turns on briefly, then turns off, no matter how noisy the photo is. I need to manually change the position of the slider before it will remove noise.

How can I get autopilot to return to full automatic?

@max.lieberman Thanks for reaching out.

There might be some missing model files due to a buggy installation that’s messing with the connection between the two apps.

Please follow the steps below to reset your Photoshop plugin.

  1. Close Photoshop fully.
  2. Run the Topaz Photo AI installer again. Get a new one from the downloads page: https://topazlabs.com/downloads/
  3. Open Photoshop and use the plugin again.

Let me know if that works.

Thank you. I am away now but I’ll do it next week.

Tim, I am ready to do as you suggest, but please excuse me if this is a dumb question. Should I uninstall the program first, or reinstall on top of it?

Thank you very much. I will wait for your response.

I appreciate the help.

No need to uninstall. Just run the installer on top of what you already have.

Thank you. Will do.
