Photo AI is closing without error messages when batch processing images

Problems batch processing 475 raw dng drone timelapse images. Photo AI closes without message after processing 259 images. Mac mini M2 32GB, no memory pressure showing in Activity Monitor.
Batch processing the same raw images in Denoise AI works and completes processing all images.

Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. Process a batch of raw images
  2. Process will end and Photo AI will close before batch is complete

Thanks for reaching out. Please open Topaz Photo AI and go to the Help > Open Log Folder menu option. Attach all the logs files in the folder to your reply.
Log Folder

Follow the instructions in this video to send me the crashpad zip (Mac).

I should be able to determine what is happening and send next steps with this information.

Hi Lingyu
I’m not sure which log it might be since I had to keep restarting at what point to stopped processing the batch. I will attach a few that I think are the logs that it happened with. It looks like only a few days of logs are available in which case I might have to reproduce the error by trying a batch again.

Thanks for sending the logs. Unfortunately these two do not show the crash.

Next time you get a crash, please open the log folder and send me all the log files in the folder. The crash log should have the largest file size if you are using a batch (at least 1-2MB in size and likely larger).

Okay I will try it again. The program doesn’t crash though, it just stops processing the batch until I quit and restart photo AI.

Got it. I don’t see any pause in the processing from the logs.

You can try selecting the GPU directly and that can sometimes prevent this behavior. Open Topaz Photo AI and go to the Topaz Photo AI > Preferences > AI Processor menu. In the dropdown menu, select the M2 directly and process like that.

I’ll try that
