Photo AI 3 destroys B&W image while Gigapixel 7 works fine

Steps to reproduce issue:

Same B&W photo handled by Gigapixel 7.2.1 woks great to increase two-fold the size of an image. That same image with Photo Ai gets destroyed when enhanced : horizontal blurred lines
