When my program “Detect noise and blur levels…” process, when it crashing.

When I off all “auto” and autopilot options, image can loaded.
Lens correction off
check disk space off
enable in-app model downloads off
enable sRGB preview fallback off
Update zoom after upscaling off
Anonumous usage tracking off
Lightroom Classic off
Autopilot off
Default AI model standard
Denoise Always off
And so on… not selected “Auto” options.
It loaded, and sometimes crashes again.

This is happening to me also, very frustrating. Need an urgent fix !!

Hi ohs8503,

I’m experiencing the exact same crashing issue with Topaz Photo AI 3.3.3! It seems to happen every time I try to load a photo.

Here are my system details:

  • Mac: MacBook Pro 14-inch (Nov 2023)
  • Chip: Apple M3 Pro
  • Memory: 18 GB
  • macOS: Sequoia 15.1.1

I’ve tried the same troubleshooting steps you mentioned (reinstalling, setting AI Processor to CPU, etc.), but nothing seems to work.

Preference > Preserve text > Default AI model > Low resolution will be one of key solution.
I tried many times, it sometimes load well and sometimes reopen, it crashes again.
When I selected Low resolution (not “Auto”, it is important), it successfully loaded.
Setting all autopilot options not “Auto”, I think it can be a solution.

I reported the same problem but wouldn´t get an answer. This is very annoying since we paid a significant amount of money for this software and we can expect that it will work as it should!

Same issue is happening with me but I ended up downgrading back to V3.3.2 and it fixed it! If you do the same just make sure to delete the current version off your system completely before installing V3.3.2 again
