Photo AI 2.4.x keeps crashing while generating preview

Hi there,
My Photo AI app crashes 100% reproducable while generating the initial preview after loading an image, without showing any error message, i.e. it just closes itself.
The issue occurs both when loading a .jpg file directly into TPAI and when loading a tiff export from Capture One.

Never had any such issues with versions up to 2.3.2.

I hope the attached info helps getting to the bottom of the problem.

Have a nice Easter weekend,
Joerg

I would like to see if updating your GPU driver will resolve the problem.

Please use the following links to update your drivers:

Intel | Driver Update

NVIDIA | Driver Update

After the updates, let me know if you are still experiencing the problem.

John,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Unfortunately, the problem is still present after updating the NVIDIA Quadro K1100M driver.
I found out, however, that the crashes only occur when using the AI Processor modes “Auto” or “NVIDIA Quadro K1100M”.
There are no problems with “CPU” or the on-board graphic chip - apart from a poorer performance, but that I can live with.
Just another reason for a new computer as my current mobile workstation is a bit dated by now.

Thanks for your help.
You may close the ticket unless you have another idea.

Kind regards,
Joerg

It sounds like the application is limited to processing while using the GPUs. The best solution for this problem would be to have you run your AI Processor under CPU. This will have a slower performance but will make the application more stable.
