Perhaps a CPU/MB new build?

Hi All, I have an Intel 13900k with an Nvidia RTX 4900. I do a lot of upconverting on older movies I have. Was wondering if it is workth upgrading to a 7960x (24c/48t) I also do video editing min my real world job as well, so the machine specs won’t be wasted. I have 96GB ddr5 memory as well.

Thx.

I don’t think that the new CPU will be of a great advantage here in case that it runs just fine and you are not affected by Intels stability issues regarding the 13th and 14th generation of processors. If your Intel processor causes issues a switch to AMD could be a valid option indeed.

Moreover they are hard bugged … letting intel in serious dark period.

My 2990WX delights me !

It can feed 3x RTX 4090 but Topaz removed multi GPU …

To me 96 GB is worth for 8K editing, do you really consumme them all ?
