PC Crashing during 4k export export (6.2.0)

Hey All,

My PC has been crashing when I go to export a video. I just wanted to see what issues I could be missing.

  • RTX 3090 (water cooled)
  • Ryzen 9 5900x (water cooled)
  • 32 GB DDR4 RAM
  • 850 watt GOLD PSU

I was upscaling various 30 minute 480p and 720p videos to 4k using Rhea. I can render 10 seconds fine but when I go to export the GPU is at 99% and eventually my PC shuts off and restarts. Event viewer does not give much insight. I had a time estimate for the export at around 4 hours. I am using game ready drivers, which I will switch to the studio one. I also overclocked my CPU and RAM, which I will revert. Has anyone else ran into these issues? Can my PC even handle the task?

Thanks

Try video memory at 50% in the processing preferences and see if that helps.

I will give this a shot. Thanks

If that doesnt work, pull the logs and send those and the system profile to the support team and we can take a deeper look and see what is going on.

How To Obtain Your System Profile (Windows)

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.

When PC suddenly restarts without a bluescreen, it’s often CPU-Overtemp, I had this several times with my old pc, or when psu is broken/can’t deliver the power this also happens. If its ram, mainboard, gpu or a driver, then you get often a bluescreen

I had the exactly the same issue and resolved it with a new power supply.
