Hi everyone,
I’m running into a licensing issue with Topaz Video AI 7.0.2 on my Intel MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019).
I have an active, paid subscription to Topaz Video AI, but the app still shows “Trial Mode” after logging in. I’ve confirmed that:
-
I’m logged in with the same email used for my purchase.
-
My subscription appears active on my Topaz account page.
-
I’ve tried logging out/in, deleting the license cache at ~/Library/Application Support/Topaz Labs LLC/Topaz Video AI, and reinstalling 7.0.2.
Still, it remains stuck in trial mode. I understand that newer versions require Apple Silicon, but according to Topaz’s notes, 7.0.2 should still work on Intel Macs so I’m trying to stay on this build.
Would appreciate any help from the team or other users who’ve run into this with Intel Macs and legacy versions.
Thanks in advance!
Can you pull the logs from the app and email them to the support team at help@topazlabs.com so we can take a look at what is going on?
To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your email.
Version 7.0.2 is the last version that will work with the older Intel Mac systems.
I have the same issue, I bought a license for Topaz Video, downloaded it, then I discovered that it’s not supported for my Ventura MacOS, then i downloaded the 7.0.2 version, I can open it but it’s always in Trial mode, I can not activate it. What should I do? Thank you
Please can someone at Topaz confirm whether or not those users who have subscribed recently for a licence for Topaz Video (v1.x) also automatically have a licence to use the (now legacy) Topaz Video AI up to v7.x, while their subscription is active?
Although the users who were migrated across from TVAI to TV v1 retain the perpetual licence for the legacy versions, I’m not sure what the position is for new subscribers.
Thanks.
Andy
