After the 4.0 update I can’t preview my output as it processes anymore. This was my way of checking how the actual output was looking without using preview (takes too long).
Yep! a major issue for me as well!
Not that the preview was working before, but at least I could see a frame once in a while.
Instead of fixing it they disabled it!
we went from a useful frame by frame display in v2, to a useless preview in V3, to a no preview in V4.
Progress! just not in the right direction…
To me it sounds like you are getting the video ready to process fully, without checking how it’s going to turn out, then clicking export. Once you realize it’s not how you want it. You cancel, adjust and start again.
If that is the case, you can save hours by finding problem scenes in the video and using the preview button. Basically any scene with far away faces, grass, leaves or gravel.
I only use Topaz Video AI for hyperlapse sequences from my drone. So the issue isn’t finding problem areas in advance. During export if stabilization has a problem it will create a ripple effect in the video and I can only catch that if I step through the video as it exports. Export preview is essential for my workflow.
