[ORIENTATION] - Thumbnail in the filmstrip has the wrong orientation

The Raw and DNG images get rotated.
However in export the export is in the correct rotation.

Version: 3.5.1
OS: Windows 10 64, latest

File: Raw NEF from D500, D7100, D90 (jpg not effected, only D500 error show in preview)

Issue: the image in the preview file list is not rotated but the working image is fine. Not a great impact but thought I’d mention it. While first reading the file, seems like the internal preview file is used and is rotated, then a generated preview is inserted and is not rotated.

Hello,

This is a known issue and our team will work on a fix when we have time. We have a small team and we prioritize the bigger issues. The good news is that the output of the image is not affected by the behavior of the thumbnails at the bottom

Thank you for flagging.

No worries, and thanks. Had I seen a message like this on this post and it was open, I wouldn’t have made another post.

Thanks again.

You were not wrong; this older message was closed. We are cleaning and merging as we see new topics coming in

On the plus side, it’s now tracked on a ticket we have with the development team. This is helping us to see how many people are affected by the issues.

If I save portrait photos after editing, the thumbnails are created incorrectly.
Cross -format becomes upright.
Only the thumbnail. If I click on the Thumbnail, the photo is properly displayed in the upper edge format.
Is this with you too?

Thanks for reaching out. We have been speaking through email so I prefer to continue there to avoid duplicating our conversation.
