Nyx is great, but we should be able to use Nyx and Iris int he same process

I’ve tested the new Nyx denser, and it’s awesome, does a really good job. However it’s not an upscaler, so it should have it’s own separate box, like motion deblur stabilise etc, so it can be used in conjunction with Iris upscaler. But good job, it’s great.

The process should be setup so it donoises first at source resolution, then upscales

TVAI has an option to run two enhancement passes. So you can create a Nyx + Iris enhancement.

To access this feature, select from the top of TVAI File -> Preferences -> Advanced then enable Show Second Enhancement Control. Now you’ll have the option to enable the first pass (Nyx), then can add a second pass by clicking on the Add Second Enhancement button.

Just a note as a workaround. Once you’ve figured out the model settings, you can run the command line instead. There, you can run whatever you want in whatever order you want in the filter_complex option to ffmpeg. It is easier to use with a script to reduce typing.

I just run a batch of jobs with deinterlace + crop + reshape + upscale + scale, going from 576i with pillar boxing to 1080p with clean borders and square pixels. The UI cannot do that.
