Hello Topaz
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue I am experiencing with the Topaz app. I initially used version 6, which functioned perfectly. However, after upgrading to version 8, I encountered several problems.
Upon first installing version 8, it did not work as expected, prompting me to revert to version 6, basically, it does nothing at all with Sony ARW files. I can’t get it to enhance anything. After a few months, I attempted to use version 8 again, but the issues persist. Specifically, the app does not process Sony .ARW files or facilitate round-tripping from Lightroom. There is no visible change in the images, at all, and for some reason, I am repeatedly required to enable the face feature.
Additionally, I attempted to use a TIFF file from the same photo shoot, but this also failed to produce any results. Version 6 continues to operate without any issues, but version 8 does not alter the photos in any capacity.
Just to be super clear, I used version 6 of Topaz Giga on this same photoshoot. But the newest updated version of Topaz 8 does not do anything.
I would appreciate any guidance or support you could provide to resolve these issues. I would also like my “year” of free updates to start when this issue has been resolved because Topaz 8 does not do anything at all and I have lost time and sanity trying to get this fixed.
