I am recovering old scanned photos. The Facial rendering is excellent but surrounding area does not render well and look noisy … I turned on DeNoise but did not do well.
The AI models are trained on digital images, not scans of physical photos. They use existing image data so if the original lacks detail, the program will struggle as well. Try turning off Face Recovery so you don’t get that jarring border around the face and turning on Upscale which enhances the resolution of the entire image.
