Hi, I find the nyx model not bad for removing noise, but it removes slightly too much detail I find, is it possible to modify the “strength” of denoising by modifying the json file??
Discussion about the in development features should probably happen over on the Beta/Alpha pages of TVAI.
But yes, you can kind of adjust the strength of denoising by changing the “Reduce Noise” slider of Nyx, and adjusting the “Recover Original Detail” slider at the bottom of the enhancement section.
sorry if I posted in the wrong place, but even putting all the cursors in negative and the recovery of details to the max, there are still details missing
@ssbroly the “reduce noise” slider controls the strength of the filter. The “recover details” slider accounts for the destruction of detail caused by in-camera denoising. In the newest beta (3.4.3.0.b), we have reordered and renamed the sliders. The in-camera denoising is accounted for by the “reduce large grain” slider in the new version. Larger (> 1px) grain is another effect of this in-camera denoising which is easier to judge visually, compared to “recover details”, which is perhaps too abstract.
To summarize, please try the latest beta. If you find that Nyx removes too much detail, try turning down the “reduce noise” slider. If the noise grain is larger than a single pixel, try tweaking the “reduce large grain” slider.
