happy owner of PhotoAI, however, I’ve recently acquired the new Nikon Z5 II (release in April) and have noticed, that it’s unfortunately still not supported in PhotoAI, just rendering an unusable RAW representation. Apparently, LibRAW is still not supporting the Z5 II, however, the Z50 II is also supported in PhotoAI without support from LibRAW, so is there anything similar planned for the Z5 II as well?
DNGs are currently unsusable as well, since it’s represented with a severe color shift (extreme pink tint, which is cumbersome to edit out).
I can add your contact information on the development team ticket looking to support this camera model and update this thread here once supported.
Even if the NEF files are not supported at the moment, the DNG versions of the NEF should work. If you get a pink tint, make sure to send the original NEF to support@topazlabs.com and we can test it. We have files from this camera and can use the DNG files (converted in LrC import Copy as DNG option) without any pink hues.
Hi Anga, thank you responding so swiftly! Since I’ve transitioned to C1 some time ago, I can’t verify it in LrC unfortunately, however, I’ve noticed that the extreme pink tint appears to be due to the DNG export from C1 and is not an issue that’s plaguin PhotoAI. I’ve verified it by opening the C1 exported DNG file of the Z5 II in darkTable as well as Affinity Photo and in both applications I’m noticing the pink tint.
By using the free Adobe DNG converter, I’ve churned out another DNG file without the pink tint. Though it dulls out the colors a bit too much, it was easier to handle in PhotoAI.
