Hello everyone, I’m back in action to create new presets for the 6x version of TVEAI and soon for the 7x version when it comes out Having already created in “alpha” version my first preset for the 6x version (hence the name of the file “test.json”) do not hesitate to give me feedback to have your own opinion when you have tested it on your videos. This preset is made for the following versions: VHS / 1080p / 4K (not DVD).
I’m working on other presets that will be released very soon and will always be in “alpha” versions before the final version.

I have tested on VHS rips and think it does wonderfull. It cleans up the footage and improves massively. It is still subtle enough to retain a natural look.
My main use is DVD though, so hurry up with that version
In Proteus 4, Fix compression removes noise. The ‘Reduce noise’ parameter gives worse results than just having ‘Fix compression’ active. There’s basically no reason to ever have ‘Reduce noise’ active.
I have tried 2 previews one with included settings and another with reduce noise to 0. not a great difference but the one without the noise reduction has more visual compression banding.
