Those pixel dimensions are tile sizes for AI processing, not video dimensions. A tile size is chosen by the application for efficiency and speed (depending on input and output video resolution), quality is not affected at all.

Now I want to make more sense out of GPU type model variants?

The first one is for using CPU without GPU, relatively quite slow
The second is for a Mac with GPU
The third is for Windows, using older Nvidia GPUs, usually GTX type that are not fp16 capable
The fourth is for Windows, using newer Nvidia RTX type or AMD GPUs, this is the fastest one

As I understand it:

For those who are interested.
These images show the 24 Models, sizes in MB.

Topaz Video Enhance AI wanted to download over 100GB of models.
About $200 on this connection.

I removed Topaz from Computer and wait to see full Model details with full user control to DL or not.
Unless you can download select models based on Topaz version, it is not happening.
Not that interested in Topaz.

Hi, could someone please give me a tip on how to download the models for v1.6.1? I have trouble getting it to work anymore and I think if I can manually place the models in the models folder it might work.

The model names for 1.6.1 appear to be different from the ones in this tutorial unless I misunderstand something. And in any case the GUI doesn’t say anything about their versions (like v1 etc).

Just where are the model files located on a Mac? I’ve the M1

I know this is an old thread. What I want to know is, once all the models are downloaded manually, via JDownloader, how to proceed to upload then or put them on the main Topaz Video enhancer main folder, I have no clue how to use JDownloader for that purpose. I use windows 10.

Update: I’ve sussed it out.

Do i have to extract the files out of them?
If so, what is the passwords?
