You are correct that there is no color management on the forums. In any case, this wouldn’t exist in the manner you’d expect, since the server does minimal processing on the image at all. Adding color management would be a huge task, so I’ll make a note of it, but it’s not likely to happen.
The best solution here is to assign a profile and re-upload. I can confirm the image you uploaded has no color profile attached to it.
My suspicion is that discourse is stripping the EXIF … the color profile is embedded in the image.
