Running on Windows 10, latest release (22H2, OS build 19045.3208).
My PC has 48GB of RAM. Windows Task Manager tells me that I’m using only 39% of that. And, yet, I’m getting this error.
Photo AI gives me the following error in a pop-up…
“Exception while applying lens correction: OpenCV(4.5.6) C:.conan\918058\1\source_subfolder\modules\core\src\alloc.cpp:73: error: (-4:Insufficient memory) Failed to allocate 90882048 bytes in function ‘cv::OutOfMemoryError’”
The NEF file in question is 51.6 MB in size. Allocating 91MB should still leave over half of my PC’s memory free.
So, let’s find out what’s wrong. I have never had a problem like this before. All of my raw files are about the same size.
Please upload the log files so I can see what’s going on in the application. To do that, open Topaz Photo AI and go to the Help > Open Log Folder menu option and drag and drop the files to a reply here.
In the meantime, try manually selecting the GPU/CPU to use for processing. Go to the Topaz Photo AI Menu option > Preferences > General menu > AI Processor. Give both a try and see if there’s a noticeable difference in performance.
