Local Starlight on Apple Silicon reproducibly fails with some resolutions

As the title says:
At least on Apple Silicon local SLM fails with quite some output resolutions while the exact same source works if I e.g. crop the video by a few pixels thus changing the 2x/4x output resolution slightly.

See e.g. in this screenshot:

This is the exact same source file with (except for cropping the source a little bit on the left border at the second try) the exact same settings (2x upscale). 1460 x 1080 output size gives an error every time while 1416 x 1080 does work.

??

No „investigating“ or „new issue“ or any other sign that this has even been noticed/aknowledged?

This is a reproducible thing and apparently affects quite some resolutions…

I can’t even get Starlight to work on the cloud on MacOS (M2 Max). “Preprocessing failed” every time. Nobody has acknowledged my issue with Starlight also after a week.

Same here, Starlight fails every single time for me with MODEL_INFERENCE_ERROR.

I don’t think that this is the same issue.

This topic is about Starlight 100% reproducibly failing with specific resolutions while the exact same source work if you just crop a few pixels at the side (thus only altering the resolution/size).

But as it seems no one cares?

The devs are looking into reports of cropping on source files causing errors when upscaling. Can you send the logs to the support team if you are still seeing this issue? help@topazlabs.com

There are multiple forum posts that have not been seen that the support team is trying to catch up on and find. If you do not hear from us within a few days, please email the team directly with the forum link so that we can get it addressed and followed up on.
