When I open Topaz Photo AI ver 2.3.0, from Lightroom, going from File> Plug-in Extras, then accept the AI correction, Lightroom opens the NEF image as a DNG file. I noticed that the Basic Settings in Lightroom has changed to
Exposure
Recovery
Fill Light
Brightness
Contrast
Clarity
Vibrance
Saturation
I’ve never seen this before. I’m currently using Lightroom 13.1 Release and Camera Rw 16.1 When i go to Settings> Update Current Process Version, the Basic settings are corrected. Why is this happening and How can I use the raw processor without this extra step?
Hi there I’m not sure I understand your conflict, are you saying that the app is changing the settings listed below in LR?
Also as far as the file format change is concerned that is the normal workflow
The File > Plug-in Extras > Process with Topaz Photo AI method has two functionalities:
sending a Raw (non-DNG) file will import the Raw directly and output a new DNG file always
sending a DNG or non-Raw file (JPG, TIF, PNG) will give the option to create a copy of the image or overwrite the existing image
If you send a Raw and a DNG file then the Raw will import directly and output a DNG file, the DNG file will display a popup to let you decide to overwrite or edit a copy.
