Laptop and program freezes requiring hard reboot with v3.5.1 Topaz Video AI

After uploading the v3.5.1 update, I twice tried to process a short video, and each time, my laptop froze, and I had to use a hard reboot ( hold down the start button on the laptop until it went dead) to regain access to the machine.

Firstly your nvidia driver is 10 months old and needs updating.
Secondly isuspm.exe is constanly crashing and I see a photoshop / ffmpeg memory issue too.

Fix these errors and try again.

I updated the nividia driver and removed the isuspm.exe file, but the same error happened and the laptop froze.

Install HWINFO64 and run in sensors only mode.
Open and use any other programs that will load your cpu / gpu and see what temps you have and also see if any Windows Hardware Errors appear too.

If appears fine then try running Topaz.

I installed HWIN064 and ran it in sensors-only mode and then used a CAD program (Vectorworks) to do 3-D model rendering, which is CPU / GPU use intensive and got zero Windows Hardware Errors. I retried Topaz Video AI, and my laptop froze again.

Hello,

After some user error reports with version 3.5.1, we have a new pre-release version of Video AI that includes a possible fix for the error you were experiencing in the app. Please test out this update if you have a few minutes and let us know if things are working as expected. We also have download links for the previous stable version if you prefer to roll back until our next update (planned for tomorrow).

Sorry, but the 3.5.2.1 Beta also froze my laptop. I am going to roll back to the previous version until the next update.
