If you experience issues Batch Editing, please see steps below to fix this issue.
If you are experiencing the issue the development team is working on, this will be the behavior:
The first file will export, every other file will show as ERROR LOADING MODEL in the export window
The workarounds will be one if these:
Instead of using Presets or Manual settings (and right-click Apply), you can use Auto-Pilot only. Open Photo AI and before importing any files, go to Edit > Preferences > Auto-Pilot and turn it on. Then import your files and once imported, click Select All. Do not click on Apply Auto-Pilot, it already is applied. When Select all is check-marked, click EXPORT and the batch will go through.
or - If you need to use your Preset or Manual settings/right-click Apply, you can export once, it will fails, and export a second time and it will work.
The development team is actively working on this and the fix has been found and is being tested. The next Photo AI version set be released by January 17th will have this fix. We will notify this thread here once released.
when trying to export image it just hangs in processing and never exports. It also redownloads models every time I open the software
Steps to reproduce issue:
Just updated to 3.4.3 and have the same Error issue on Windows 11, exporting a few CR3 files as DNG with just face sharpening. First image exports OK. The following images all get Error: error processing model. My computer is robust 12th generation Intel i9-12900hx with 64gb of ram.
We are supposed to be able to be able to export the entire lot of selected images without previewing the results. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. If I preview each image one at a time, it will export all files without error. Such a giant pain. I would like to let Topaz do it’s thing, no matter how long it takes, so that I can get up and do something else in the meantime.
OK, These are Sony ARW files and an error occurs, at least an error is indicated but then as if by magic the processing resumes on the same file. But often Topaz seems to lose interest on large batches and the program quits gracefully leaving many files unprocessed
And if I convert the ARW files to TIFF, all runs smoothly
[Please describe your issue here. Try to include logs (Help → Logging) and add screenshots if necessary.]
I try to enhance several photos at once, but I get an error after one photo is done.Steps to reproduce issue:
Upgraded in late December, now when I try to batch process my photos, the first photos processes ok, then all the rest give me this error message.
What did Topaz change to cause this error?
After upgrading late December, Topaz Photo AI can not process more than 1 photo at a time when processing more than 1 photo (did a Soccer game have 250 photos).
Wish I could return the upgrade.

To help the troubleshooting process, can you try the following:
Open Photo AI as a standalone application.
Go to Preferences > Autopilot
Enable the option to Automatically apply filters.
Click Save.
I have gone ahead and added your information to an ongoing support ticket we have open with the development team, and we will be sure to update you once we have more information regarding this issue.
@ericthoreau - This video you sent confirms you have the issue we are discussing at the very top here. Make sure to read the very first post and test the workarounds! A fix will be released end of this week.
