Keeping it Natural in B&W

I just love B&W as an artistic medium … Boondall Wetlands is a salt-marsh area near Brisbane in Australia …

B&W is certainly a great medium for this image - the water courses at the front of the image lead you naturally to the back

Lovely scene …would love to see a color version as well.

Hi Bob, Yes it isn’t too bad in color … a little bland because of the paperbark trees color … the scene was composed and taken for B&W … but the contrast between the sky and marsh greenery is good …

Interesting how many images look better in B&W. This really sets up a mood :grinning:

Fascinating composition. I really like your BW version, but it was also very instructive to see the color version, too.

Really works well. Almost looks like IR. You just want to keep looking at it.

The b&w has a bit more mystery in this format. Its a well taken image and very well processing.
