Keep the software easy to use

All these updates and new versions remind me of a software program that I used at a university for student marks, etc.
The company decided to have a total makeover of the software.
I could never utilize it again like in the past.

It seems Topaz programmers are going the same direction.
Making software that was easy to use, too complicated.
How much of user input are you using in your upgrades?

The main motto is:
Don’t change things that DON’T need to be fixed.

For example: moving the interface buttons and layout.

Topaz Photo now has Export button up top instead of convenient bottom placement.

Why? Because developers thought it would be better.

Another example: Topaz Video 5.x interface was perfect. Output queue was visible without switching tabs, input selection was easy.

Now I have to teach my colleagues the same program again for the third time (after 2.x version).

People work on Adobe Premiere or Avid or DaVinci for years and have muscle memory of the tools they used to work with.

Why Topaz developers think it’s a good idea to re-learn how to use software every year?
