When I open a JPG, after it was saved in Photo AI, in a photo viewer like FastStone, I notice the JPG color subsampling is set to “High”. I don’t see anywhere in Topaz Photo AI to change that color subsampling. I can only run a single slider for JPG quality up to 100%. Normal image editing/conversion software will usually provide a range, or a simple on/off toggle, for JPG Color Subsampling. Topaz has nothing. Using the “Preserve input format” option in TPAI when enhancing an existing JPG, produces the same result - color subsampling “high” - regardless of the original JPG (and all of my modern exports/conversions have subsampling OFF).
1: Wonder if this affects the overall quality of the result?
2: Wonder if this feature is supposed to be there in “Preserve Input Format” and is “lost” because no one has noticed its absence before now?
TIA.
