Improving Processing Speed for PhotoAI

I will be updating my computer (PC Windows 10) at some point, and I’d like to know what items would help to increase the processing speed. Is it the number of cores, or the amount of memory, or the video GPU? Or something else? I am currently running an Intel i7-3770 3.4 GHz (4 cores), 32GB of memory and using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics card.
Images that I work on are around 70MB when edited through Lightroom Classic as a TIF. It takes around 6 minutes to process the image, and that’s once the changes are applied. I believe it takes almost as long when I’m trying to consider and possibly change the parameters.
Should I export a small copy to play with the settings, then go back and apply those settings to the original?
