I paid to download the update and it is changing all my LR adjustments .
It recommends that I use File > Plugin in extras > Process in Topaz AI.
When I use the new plug in it completely removes the LR Adjustments and is creating it’s own adjustments for exposure and saturations plus it is reverting back to the original size which I have cropped.
When I use the older plugin Photo > Edit in > Topaz Edit > It then shows a page asking to keep LR Adjustments and File options > see attached image.
I attached the the 3 images, original, new update image w/ removal of LR Adj and the older version.
I shot this with an iPhone, as it was my grandson’s wedding, did not want to be a third wheel for the photographers, LLOL
I doubt that had any effect but I wanted to add it.
Original w/ LR Adj
Old version of AI using Photo >
New version using File >
Anyone able to respond?
Am I using the wrong venue ?
My apologies and if you can let me know where to ask the question,
Thanks
Greg
I noticed the same behaviour.
You need to contact Topaz support.
When updating the LR adjustments are not being added to the image after adjustments.
The Topaz LR recommendation: > Edit > Plug in Extras > Process in Topaz Photo AI does not retain the LR Adjustments it brings it back to the original image with Topaz changes.
When I use the former LR transfer to Topaz from > Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI , it retains the LR adjustments.
The former adj panel asks the question if “I want to edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments” the new recommendation does not ask the question.
Question:
Am I doing something wrong or is there a change I need to make?
I do not see a way to send the pictures of the 3 images.
Here are the 3 images that I took yesterday:
Original
Topaz Adjustment former before update using: > Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI
Current Topaz change using > Edit > Plug in Extras > Process in Topaz Photo AI
You are seeing the expected result.
Using Edit > Plug in Extras > Process in Topaz Photo AI takes your original file without any LR updates and saves a new file. The new file will not have any of your LR adjustments, although you can easily copy them from the original to new with LR. This method is recommended for RAW files as it provides the best denoising function. You would typically use this method at the start of your workflow.
Using Photo > Edit in > Topaz Photo AI makes a copy with all your LR adjustments as you noted.
Different methods for different scenarios.
