I need help up-scaling old shows from the 90s

Hello everyone. I am about to purchase Topaz Video AI because I wanted to up-scale some old shows. I recently purchased DVD’s for Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Goosebumps, and Boy Meets World. Is there some sort of guide for dummies? I can’t seem to find anything on YouTube for this particular use case. Any help would be much appreciated.

What’s your ideal final resolution?

Start with Iris Medium. Enable parameters. Fix compression 50. Improve detail 90. Sharpen 50. Maybe provide a file we can test quick.

The Product Team is working on some updated tutorials at this time. I have linked a few of the newest ones below that might help along with a basic quick screen recording going over some of the basics in the app.

720P I would be happy with to be honest. The remux file size is 350MB per episode. Absolutely horrendous.

Make a DVD remux with MakeMKV (free tool) and then use Lossless Cut (free tool) to make a one or two minute video sample that you can share here.
By the way you may be happy with the results from a free AI deblocker called DPIR included in Hybrid (free tool). I believe it works only on Windows with nvidia gpus. Here is a sample: https://i.ibb.co/kS9q5Dn/deblock-sharpen.png

I did this and jacked it up to 4X scaling. It looks amazing!

That’s what I ended up doing! I used MakeMKV. What’s Lossless Cut do?

It cuts video files without reencoding.
