Hugged to Death

On the edge of a local wood, this tree is slowly being strangled by creepers. Using an infrared camera and Studio to recolour, ON1 for main edits.

Shame to see that tree strangled like that. If it was near me, I’d be breaking out the chain-saw on those narrows necks. Should have been clipped years ago.

The farmer allows a small percentage of trees to naturally waste to provide wood for fires, better than cutting down healthy trees. There’s nothing like the smell of wood fires in winter.

Yes, I guess you could say this is a natural end of life for the tree…the way that strangulation is a natural death between predators and prey. The tree would probably be healthy if the invasive attacker were eliminated, in this case.
