I was wondering why my FPS is low when using the Topaz video AI software in 4K.
I’m also interested in knowing what FPS speeds others achieve when using the Proteus model to upscale content to 4K resolution in Topaz Video AI.
I’ve attached a screenshot of my benchmark results and system specifications.
Please reply with your performance with this software.
Set the AI processor to the GPU instead of auto:
File > Preferences > Processing
Set the AI Processor to the 5090
I’ve done that and am still getting around 4.4 Dps. Why is this happening with newer parts?
Your Input Resolution is set to 3840x2160. With higher resolution sources, the less FPS you will have. This is true for all cards, not just the 5090.
As pointed out by bbyers-0695, in the benchmark screenshot you’ve posted, your upscaling from 4K to even higher resolutions. Your input resolution should be set to the typical resolution of the sources that you wish to upscale from, to get a better idea of the speeds you’ll get.
