This is from a September 2013 trip to Leadville, CO. A storm passed through the first afternoon, so I was out shooting in the rain. I started with basic adjustment in LR. Then used Adjust and B&W Effects via Studio to create an intermediate B&W based on one of the Gold Blue presets, see below. Next, I used Nik Silver Efex Pro starting with a sepia tone preset and added film grain. And finally, I added scratches texture and slight vignette with Texture Effects to get this final image.
Howdy Wayne. That sounds pretty hot for your neck of the woods. We’ve been getting some high dew points here in the Twin Cities lately. Blah.
You’re welcome; I hope it’s useful. I’m trying to get back in the habit of writing up post-processing details in my photography notebook. It’s the best way I’ve found to both cement a given method in memory and to spark new ideas.
