Here’s something taken from our Lanai in 2013. At the time, I was taking one sunset shot or "Pau Hana (end of day) image per week. My goal was to have 52 images at year’s end. I made it all the way into August when we had to make a trip to the mainland and the series ended. Best laid plans right? Anyway, now, great sunsets are something we have not seen since Kilauea started spewing. Major league bummer.
Every time I look at this image I think about the curvature of the atmosphere and how fragile it is.
