Handbrake Upscaling Method?

I was wondering if this method is viable and would produce results equivalent to doing it all in Topaz video ai.

  1. Apply Proteus Enhancement without upscaling. (Takes 38 minutes to complete per 25min episode)
  2. Use handbrake to upscale to 4k (takes 2 minutes per episode Using GPU)

It’s faster and reduces encoding time by roughly %40+.

Is there more to the 4k upscaler used in Topaz?

Most likely the results of upscaling with Handbrake would be inferior to TVAI Upscale.
