GP 8 soooooooo slow and energy hungry

I trying out Giga Pixel 8 since yesterday and have to complain that it is so slow that it’s by far unusable! I tried a simple Picture of a. Size of 2000x3000 (JPG)tried to scale it up by 2x and this is taking about more a half hour. I am quite sure that Giga Pixel 7 was much Faster. What can I do to Speed up? because so the APP is absolut Useless I’m working on very New MacBook M4 Max. Maybe there is the Cloud Rendering causing the issues?? How can I Speed, This up to make it usable

What I also Want to tell you and to complain, is that huge amount of Energy Giga Pixel 8 is taking from my Brand new MacBook M4 Max. Apple ist telling about that there is enough Power for about 18 hours but using GP8 its just 1 1/2 By Far: there must be Something wrong with Giga Pixel 8

whats wrong with GP8? 188m for a standard image???

I have exactly the same problem. I have just decided to upgrade but find that Gigapixel 8 is totally unworkable.

I’m on an older but decent MAC and even for the smallest image (700 KB) at 1:1 it is unusable, takes forever and I have to break off with no sign of completion. I tried a cloud render and it zipped through it. One gets the feeling that they want you to buy credits. Bit pointless to be honest with all the other online enhancers out there. Feeling a bit cheated to be honest.
