Sometimes doubling the size of the image is much more than needed, so with the old version I’d like to use a custom scale like x1,5.
With the new 7.0.0 version I am still able to type in a custom number, but the custom-box won’t get active. I just can click the standards like 1x 2x 4x 6x
Yes exactly, I tried several things and found out, that I can use the custom size, if my number is at least 3 or higher or better saying if I don’t use decimals like 1.2 or 1.5 or 3.5
The blue checkbox around like in your screenshot is just there when I use numbers like 3, 5 or else.
Without decimal it’s okay:
And when I try to write 3,5 it changes to 3; when I write 4.5 it changes automatically to 4, also in the custom box:
It also doesn’t matter if I use . oder , for decimals.
My system specs are okay:
Win 11 64bit
Intel i7 12700K
Gigabyte Aourus Z690 ULtra
Corsair RAM 128GB DDR5 @5.200MHZ
NVidia Geforce RTX 3060
To the suggestion with the comma/period: as said before, I’ve tried both variants without any difference; it’s just like it’s prohibited for me in this version to use a decimal. Though it’s very interesing, that AiDon doesn’t seem to have any problems with it O.o strange
You didn’t really answer my question and obviously didn’t read the thread I linked.
So, again: do you have a region setting where a comma is used as decimal separator (like e.g. germany but also other European countries)?
If yes, it just won’t work, not matter if you type in a comma or a point,
You then have to change your systems region (NOT the keyboard layout) to a country with a point as decimal separator, e.g. the US. Only then you can type in the number with caping and it’ll work.
Oh sorry, seems like I’d get you wrong. Now I get it, but nothing on my system changed since the change from version 6 to 7; still yesterday it worked with the previous version of Gigapixel. Anyway I try to change region settings in Windows without any effect though this shouldn’t be the way to get this working.
@TPX: This could maybe a workaround until it’s fixed, but I prefer to use a multiplicator instead of type in a resolution, because every pic got a individual resolution before; so you’d sometimes multiply a image like with 1,52 another then with 1,76 or something. Oooor I have to use the Win calculator before. Ooooooor the program just should work as good as the previous version
Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like, when I try to type in 1.5 like AiDon. The checkbox is red and when I press enter, it is as I described it before. So when the box around is flashing in red, it looks for me like a lock from the program.
So in summary: In Gigapixel 6.xx it worked, in Gigapixel 7.0.0 not.
