Gigapixel v 7.0.0 - can't use custom size for rescale

Sometimes doubling the size of the image is much more than needed, so with the old version I’d like to use a custom scale like x1,5.
With the new 7.0.0 version I am still able to type in a custom number, but the custom-box won’t get active. I just can click the standards like 1x 2x 4x 6x

Please fix this.

Just to confirm, inputting a custom size in “Resize Mode”, allowing Gigapixel to process, and then saving the export does not function as expected?

Yes exactly, I tried several things and found out, that I can use the custom size, if my number is at least 3 or higher or better saying if I don’t use decimals like 1.2 or 1.5 or 3.5
The blue checkbox around like in your screenshot is just there when I use numbers like 3, 5 or else.

Without decimal it’s okay:

And when I try to write 3,5 it changes to 3; when I write 4.5 it changes automatically to 4, also in the custom box:

It also doesn’t matter if I use . oder , for decimals.

Please make sure you supply your system specifications as using Windows 11/RTX3060 there are no issues:

Hmm, sounds as if this is related:

Do you have a comma as decimal separator in your region?

Good catch, in his screenshots the first entry is a comma not period.

Hey guys,

at first: Thanks for the replies!

My system specs are okay:
Win 11 64bit
Intel i7 12700K
Gigabyte Aourus Z690 ULtra
Corsair RAM 128GB DDR5 @5.200MHZ
NVidia Geforce RTX 3060

To the suggestion with the comma/period: as said before, I’ve tried both variants without any difference; it’s just like it’s prohibited for me in this version to use a decimal. Though it’s very interesing, that AiDon doesn’t seem to have any problems with it O.o strange

You didn’t really answer my question and obviously didn’t read the thread I linked.

So, again: do you have a region setting where a comma is used as decimal separator (like e.g. germany but also other European countries)?
If yes, it just won’t work, not matter if you type in a comma or a point,
You then have to change your systems region (NOT the keyboard layout) to a country with a point as decimal separator, e.g. the US. Only then you can type in the number with caping and it’ll work.

Just type in the resolution you want?

Oh sorry, seems like I’d get you wrong. Now I get it, but nothing on my system changed since the change from version 6 to 7; still yesterday it worked with the previous version of Gigapixel. Anyway I try to change region settings in Windows without any effect though this shouldn’t be the way to get this working.

@TPX: This could maybe a workaround until it’s fixed, but I prefer to use a multiplicator instead of type in a resolution, because every pic got a individual resolution before; so you’d sometimes multiply a image like with 1,52 another then with 1,76 or something. Oooor I have to use the Win calculator before. Ooooooor the program just should work as good as the previous version :sunglasses:

Here’s a screenshot of what it looks like, when I try to type in 1.5 like AiDon. The checkbox is red and when I press enter, it is as I described it before. So when the box around is flashing in red, it looks for me like a lock from the program.

So in summary: In Gigapixel 6.xx it worked, in Gigapixel 7.0.0 not.

Ok. So then this seems to be an issue different to the one in TVAI (even if they do look similar at first glance).

Maybe I’ll try GP7 later on (unfortunately my subscription has run out shortly before the release of GP7, so I’m out of Beta-testing).
