Gigapixel does not recognize TIFF crops from PSE Adobe Camera Raw. My work-around is to save the ACR cropped file as a new, crop-only, TIFF file and then run Gigapixel on that smaller file. Topaz reports that “Gigapixel AI is not compatible with Photoshop Elements at this time”.
It’s not a bug as PSE is passing the uncropped layer. You should be able to get around it by creating a composite layer and pass that.
GigaPixel only works on what is passed.
For a TIFF file cropped in PhotoShop Elements Adobe Camera Raw, the crop is retained in DeNoise and Sharpen but not in Gigapixel. The crop is visible in ACR but not in Elements Organizer. Please note that I am cropping in ACR not in the PhotoShop Elements Editor (not using layers). Topaz Labs Support reports: “Unfortunately Gigapixel AI is not compatible with Photoshop Elements at this time”.
