Gigapixel 8.0.1 won't open (Mac / Apple Silicon)

Gigapixel 8.0.1 does not start on my Mac. It opens a blank gray window and none of the menu items work. It does respond to quit and command-q.

I am on a M2 Pro Mac Mini with 16 GB RAM running Sonoma 14.6.1

I tried restarting the system. Also tried removing all Topaz stuff in the ~/Library folder and reinstalling. Same result.

I am successfully running Topaz Video AI v 5.3.6 and Topaz Photo AI 3.3.1.

I have: 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 iMac.
With Ver.7, I could work the app. In version 8, the new models don’t work and the earlier models are slower. What gives? Shall we wait for 8.0.2?

8.0.2 is out but does not fix the problem.

Anyone else out there experiencing this?

FYI, I upgraded my Mac OS to 15.1.1 and it seems to have fixed the problem.
