Upgraded Gigapixel AI to 7.0.0. Input file is png, 16" x 18", 72 resolution, 1152 px x 1296 px, 3.46 MB size. Changed the settings to make it 300 resolution, 30" height, low resolution (tried other resolutions but same issue), Saved the file and opened the file in Photoshop. It showed the file to be png, 313 MB size, 8000 x 9000 px, 111.111 inches x 125 inches, 72 resolution. How can I go back to my previous version? Version 7.0.0 is not acceptable to me.
Download the latest version that worked for you from this thread.
Uninstall the current version and run a clean install. Active as normal and you should be back to you preferred version.
It took awhile but I was able to find and download the previous version. Uninstalled version 7, did a cold reboot, and installed the previous version. Used the same file mentioned in my issue and it came out correct. Version 7 needs some serious changes.
You have no clue what you are talking about. The told resolution in dots per inch refers to your OUTPUT DEVICE, in this case: your printer. Your image does NOT have a resolution in dots per inch. It has only pixels. It is exactly x pixels wide and y pixels tall. The dots per inch is a pure theoritical thing. IF you produce it for an output at 300 dpi you must also set the working application, here: Photoshop to work with 300 dpi and the Printer to work at 300 dpi to get the size you want …
Oh dear, here we go again. The OP needs Photoshop to work with 300 PPI (NOT DPI), and the printer to work at whatever its DPI is, and it won’t be 300. My own cheap Epson printer outputs 1440 DPI. Pixels do not equate to dots.
