Frame Interpolation does not produce identical clip lengths for short clips

Using frame interpolation with Apollo or Apollo Fast for 1-2 second ProResLT clips creates output that is shorter than the input clip. Why?
Clips need to be of identical length for replacement in a timeline. It simply takes too long to interpolate an entire clip where only portions need to be corrected.

This looks to be the known ProRes bug issue that drops a frame off the end. The team has been working to get this resolved.

If you export the video as a different codec like FFV1 or H265 it should match and not drop that frame.
