For the love of GOD: Next to each video, add a txt file containing all the info related to its generation

I just made these files:

I have NO IDEA which is which.

  1. You either need to add the option for the output to get the suffix from the PRESET NAME!

  2. Or add a txt file (or any format) with same name as the video generated. said text file will contain info related to the parameters used to upscale/modify said video. Users when comparing different videos and liking one more than another, can go check the parameters and be able to reproduce the result.

  3. In addition to that, that file or any metadata, can help Topaz to “open” set the parameters identical to the ones used to generate the video. So you select the video or drag and drop it and then choose : “import parameters” → Topaz will adopt the same parameters, user can reproduce the video (with another input)

Vote for your own idea.
This is a super good idea, and shouldn’t be very hard to implement. (Maybe the importing from the txt file will be harder, but they can do that after the creating of it.)

topaz stores those model parameters as comment in the metadata of the videofile

Where and how to open them without using terminal commands? (can they be “downloaded” to the topaz and make it updated with said parameters)?

any player or other handling software with the option to show the file’s properties, can show you…

the videoai tag says:
Enhanced using prob-4; mode: auto; revert compression at 0; recover details at 0; sharpen at 0; reduce noise at 0; dehalo at 0; anti-alias/deblur at 0; focus fix Off; and recover original detail at 20

from that you can create a preset if you like…

wait a moment… that’s wrong data. i had it on “auto” this time and it did not fill in the different fields above correctly… but that’s more of a bug report than a missing feature request.

Importing settings from a file that’s generated by TVAI would still be very useful.
