What file type are you using? The different models we released may have greater impact on the file size.
My file type is CR3 from Canon EOS R5
The DNG output file size is expected behavior. The original RAW file is likely compressed while our DNG export is full size and uncompressed so the output file is larger.
We do not have access to a DNG compression algorithm as that is proprietary to Adobe. If you need to decrease the DNG file size, use Adobe DNG Converter to compress the DNG file to a smaller size.
Hi
Thank you for the answer, but I still do’nt get it.
Previous version increased file size from 50 to 75 MB
Now the file size is increased from 50 to 268 MB.
You say the output is expected behaviour, but why
Did you use the same RAW files previously? Also, if you’re using the Upscale filter, that’s known to increase the file size since it’s literally multiplying the number of pixels there are.
I am using the same CR3 raw file from Canon EOS R5 since I bought the camera 1 year ago.
I am always updated to last version from Topaz Photo AI.
I just use sharpening or noice reduction as sugested from Topaz

Having similar issue with Photo AI 2.0.5. I use Canon RP which produces CR3 files. These are compressed RAW files about 12MB is size. From LRC, I invoke Topaz Photo AI using the File->Plug-In Extras->Process with Topaz Photo AI. My typical work flow is Sharpen and DeNoise with standard models and options. I rarely change the options that Photo AI determines are the best. Photo AI saves the image as a DNG. The DNG file is 5 to 7 times larger than the Canon image! I have not tried the Adobe DNG Converter, as suggested. I just wanted to let Topaz know that other users have noticed this behavior with Photo AI. Has anyone tried Adobe DNG Converter to confirm it can convert a Topaz DNG format into the Adobe DNG (smaller) format?
