more than 86 minutes to try super focus in a small bird in a picture is just a useless feature.

What computer? What CPU? How much RAM? do you have some kind of neural engine?
The calculation algorithms here are really a bear.

Apple M2 Max with 12‑core CPU, 30‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine, 32 GB. not a bad machine!

Is there any tips on settings to make Super Focus useful? I have a iMac with 72 GB RAM and it takes hours to render a file…
Intel iMac? Even with apple silicon its fairly long. If you notice, on the program it says “BETA”.
Yes, it’s a i5 Intel 2020 with Sequoia installed. I’m aware that it’s a Beta and just wanted to give you the information. Very much looking forward to see the real, working, version!

I will note that the Intel Mac CPUs are not entirely fit for AI Processing. We mention this in our System Requirements on the Topaz Labs Documentation.
This is important to note as the Super Focus, while still in Beta, is extremely resource-intensive and will not be ideal for use on most Intel Mac CPUs.

Can you explain why this happens? After using several of the features, the pic goes black and I can’t see the results.
Steps to reproduce issue:
1.Begin with Super Focus
2. Wait 60 min
3.picture comes out black
I don’t shoot in Raw, only jpeg.

what are you exporting to? I’m not seeing the super focus long render times you are and I have a maxed out MBP M3M 16/40 core and 128 GB Ram
Should not have been released even as a BETA. Too SLOW to be practical to use.

It’s your RAM of 128 that is doing it. Most of us, even with apple silicon don’t have 128 GB ram.
I realize it is in Beta, my pc has 64GB of ram and waiting for the High,Minor for over 2 1/2 hours I quite.
