I tried a few more pictures from the Everglades, and it’s true that some improvement can always be achieved. I only tried Topaz Photo 1.0.1, to find out what and how. I’m attaching a few examples at the end for illustration. I had to experiment a lot, I couldn’t find a standard way, but I don’t do that for a living (I would definitely starve). The tools used are in the image title. “Focus” means the minor one. The main flaw in my photos was (and still is) incomplete focus and missing details (feathers).
Well, now the pictures. A beautiful vulture, he even let me take his portrait. One could usually approach him cautiously within a maximum of 10 meters, maybe he’s a little used to visitors, he didn’t run away from me, the 5x zoom of the camera did the rest:
A great blue heron caught a big fish and rushed to safety with it. I was lucky to capture it – usually the opportunity only lasts a split second:
Finally, I couldn’t resist and tried an alligator. They are everywhere in the Everglades in abundance. This one looked hungry, so I kept a respectful distance, but it turned out to be a nice photo:
I think Topaz Photo did a good job. Ten years ago, such options probably weren’t common.

For this one, I had to go over it twice with a sharpen strong setting and once with a creative medium setting to eliminate as much motion blur as possible.

How did you get to use it for so long?! That’s great.
Assume you have an older system if Win 10 can handle it. I was told when rebuilding my PC with the top of the line (at that time) AMD processor 3 yrs ago that I had to migrate to Win 11. Needless to say, the AMD wasn’t able to handle all I’ve needed for beta testing here… So I rebuilt again July of this yr - switching to the NVIDIA 5090 GPU.
Two conditions were required for this. And I had them. The first was to have enabled automatic backup to Microsoft’s cloud (OneDrive). The second was to have an active Microsoft account logged into the machine.
With a 5090, you can do quite a lot 
. Even AI generations of local HD videos. If I’m not mistaken, the 5090s do indeed have 32 GB of VRAM. So you’re really comfortable with your performance.
