Feedback | Improvement of Animals Results

Yeah, I just saw the new comments, and they’re not good. I’ll wait for a fix too.

For the moment I’m sticking with version 1.4.0 which works very well.

Another attempt at improving the bird, this time a very shy crested tit. A small bird that has to wait for its share of seeds until the others have filled their bellies. Nano Banana did a good job (including adding the back of the bird), the rest was done by Gigapixel.

It looks like there is another improvement to the comparator.:+1:

Crested Tit

Yeah, from time to time, when I have an idea to improve the comparison tool, I add it. It can vary between an aesthetic improvement or the addition of functionality :slightly_smiling_face: .

That Crested Tit is so cute :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: .

Hi @unrelent I have a small favor to ask. When you open my image comparison tool now, does it display correctly in your browser’s default language? (If you’re using English). Otherwise, it will normally display in English by default if your language isn’t listed in the program’s dictionary. Since my language is French, I won’t be able to see if my code modification works.

Hi Harald, I don’t see any problem from my side. Yes, I normally use English on my computers (not my native language) and English settings including my browser (old school – because of the terminology). Your comparator appears in English when I open it. I’m attaching two printscreens of what I can see when I use your image comparator. Is that what you need to know?

Thank you. This is a feature I recently added. Before, it would open by default in my language (French), regardless of the browser language. I fixed that two days ago. I’m glad it’s working.

For the GitHub page, I had the default link on the English Markdown, which is more international at the time I placed the icon there :slightly_smiling_face: .

I still have some improvements to make, and then the final 100% version will be transferred to Cloudflare. It will be easier, especially for shortened sharing links, and will be better than the one I’m currently using.

Yeah, it’s more pleasant this way, to always have English set. The comparator works well, and most importantly, it’s simple.

Maybe it would be good if the vertical line separating Before and After didn’t return to its original position in the middle as soon as I release the mouse button. It could just stay where I moved it. But it’s nothing major.

An attempt to enhance the beautiful plugsnpixels’ Canada Goose that has come to take over his place. The background of the image is left as a mysterious vagueness (no road or parking lot, no fake lake). Exposure adjustment followed by Nano Banana with a prompt and then Gigapixel Redefine Realistic (the same prompt) and Wonder 2. (Redefine Creative in the hands of AI typically gives overly artistic artifacts.) Nice photo, the original could have been edited.

Canada Goose

That’s how it was at the very beginning when I created the comparator. Then I added the automatic repositioning system to the center as soon as you release it. But I was wondering the same thing about whether or not to keep this automatic system. I’ll see later. But I’m adding it to my to-do list.

Is that snow on the ground, or did AI invent snow?
Otherwise, the bird is much improved. Just one oddity about the legs, which shouldn’t be hairy.

There are also some at Pairi Daiza . It must be said that it is a species of migratory bird.

There, I’ve disabled the automatic return to center when you release it

Oh, by the way @unrelent , What do you think of my improvements to my online comparison tool?

I’m currently working on a cool new feature: a sidebar that keeps track of your comparison history.

This will be really handy if you ever want to go back to a comparison and make changes, like changing the title, without having to start all over again.

Of course, it’s based on a LocalStorage system. This means that if you clear your browser’s cache, your comparison history will also be erased.

You can also clear the entire history from the sidebar or do it one by one. You can even pin items :round_pushpin: and they’ll appear at the top of the list. The history will also be time-stamped.

Yesterday, I updated my code. My comparison tool now has an optimized history sidebar. I also added small reflection animation effects to my buttons and fixed a bug that caused the viewport images to shift when zooming between windowed and full-screen modes.

I think it will be a matter of days now before I switch my program to Cloudflare. And once that’s done, I’ll give you the new link.
