I agree. Not only is the revised Photo AI app a complete pain to use, it’s much worse than it have ever been at face recovery and it is way too strong. I keep getting porcelain style faces and there are no tweaks to adjust it. It’s become a time waster as I keep firing it up to see if it improves things, and probably only ever get a 2% success rate.
I totally agree with you Marcus, the new update has made the program very confusing to use and it is SOOOOO SLOWWWW! Before I just let the auto setting do it’s stuff now I have to make all these decisions about each option, not good at all
Just a further agreement on the disastrous changes to the UI. I can see the logic that newbies may be overwhelmed, but for the majority of us it seems time to look elsewhere. As after all this time and endless comments, it is still stuck in a sterile one button view. Sure one can turn auto-pilot off in preferences, but that does make it any easier to use without lots of work on each image.
They could at least provide a Preferences option to default to popping out the various modules as displayed, as in the earlier versions. Having to manually do this forever and ever simply drives one not to renew and look elsewhere.

It is not working as a plug-in with Lightroom for me and, even though I and others have commented about this and asked for help, nothing has been done to resolve the issue. None of the ‘solutions’ provided worked. I am not able to use it as a plug-in with Lightroom. I can use the ‘stand-alone’ Topaz products as plug-ins with Lightroom, which I have been doing - and I will continue to do - even though they are not being upgraded. Disappointed to say the very least!
