(Not my photo, testing how well Photo AI restores old photos) I was playing with this photo using the latest V.3 update using basically the recommended settings with slight additional sharpening. I recall one of the complaints about this software going back to the earliest versions was what it does to hands. This is a shot of actor Sal Mineo who was very young when the photo was shot but after Photo AI processing his hands look like he’s 100 years old. Wondering why Photo AI can’t understand that if there are other body parts in a photo when it does face enhancement that it should apply the same kind of processing to those body parts, specifically hands using the “fully automatic” mode.

I agree, I also restore old images and find the hands need a lot of manual restoration. If the face algorithms could be extended to hands…
