Feedback | Disappointed With Latest Updates

Hello,

Two years ago I bought TOPAZ AI and I was bluffed by the results I could get. Today I’m a bit disappointed by the evolution of product quality.
From version to version, interfaces and algorithms change, which means you have to spend a lot of time figuring out how the product is going to interpret the input data. And the results are often disappointing. But there are also some nice surprises.
I also find it very difficult to choose between TOPAZ AI or TOPAZ GIGA PIXEL to work on images. The functionalities overlap and the interfaces are different. Results are hard to predict.
Furthermore, the marketing strategy seems to favor novelty over reliability (selling new functions as completed when they are beta in order to be able to sell new versions (e.g. dust and scratches, which are too often faulty), keeping beta functions for long months as development is carried out on other products, as is the case today with the efforts made on BLOOM).
Perhaps it’s time to refocus efforts on products (fewer products or products grouped together, and make them reliable) and less on marketing promises.
In conclusion, after two years of using Topaz products, I’m really wondering whether I shouldn’t go back to more classic tools for which I know what to expect.
Sincerely
Gaspard
