Currently there is no great solution for removing backgrounds and isolating elements in AI generated images. Photoshop object selection has improved but still not great quality, and online AI masking services have per image or monthly costs and other drawbacks like low resolution. I would love to see an improved AI masking solution as part of Photo AI so I could process unlimited images for masking locally.
Hi, I would like to have the option to have an automatic background removing tool. This would similar to the one Canva and others provide.
This could massively increase the workflow for the images post-production. Everything could be done within Topaz without the need of a second step on Photoshop or similar.

Agree, itās not on the active site anymore.
This old link still lets you add it to your cart for $99, or ask a free trial.
I wonder what happens if you ask for the trial now?
I already own it, but I wouldnāt recommend it in any case as I found it of very limited utility.

Iām not sure that it is worthwhile unless you already own it. The issue we all have with discontinued software that there is no support, even if you paid for it.

Good idea, Any updates? I was curious and looking to see if Photo AI had background removal, would be nice. Where to vote? If was part of an old product, can they add it easily here?

Often the perfect portrait shot of a person has an imperfect backdrop or background; the subject highlighting when clicking that section of Topaz Photo AI seems almost if not perfect. Why not add an option to remove and replace the background with a background from another image or nothing (even transparent).
Secondly:
Often I want to remove the watermark to relocate it or replace it with a new version that has updated social addresses; it would be nice to remove the watermark. I know āremove objectā is in the roadmap, not sure if that includes watermarks or not.
Topaz Mask has this feature but it hasnāt been updated in ages; and the background removal function is now available in many more general photo editing apps.

Iām posting here hoping to be kept informed about this background removal feature. If itās in there already, I canāt figure it out.
Iām new to Topaz, yāalls Black Friday deal was too good to pass up 
Iām still exploring everything, but I noticed
a) Topaz Photo AI seems to do Subject masking really well,
b) it runs as a Photoshop plugin, but
c) I canāt figure out how to get the selection mask into Photoshop (ie, to replace the background)
I gather that Topaz Mask AI would do this - but (I think?) itās the one product that wasnāt included in the bundle I bought. Oh well.
I know that Photoshop now includes a background removal function - but this is the kind of thing where I like having a number of options.
Just FYI: Iām not a photographer; Iām a cough āAI Artistā. You probably know this already, but thereās a lot of interest in Topaz in the cough cough āAI Art Communityā , for upscaling generated images as well as touching up / fixing the āimperfectā images which AI tends to produce.
(And also, my wifeās jaw hit the floor when I ran some old pics of the kids through Topaz GigaPixel - which made it absolutely worth the price of admission. These are the days of miracle and wonder)

Removal of text would be nice. Selected words.
Currently the Remove Object changes/destroys surrounding words.
Ok, I figured out I have to use preserve text - select what should remain untouched.

is it possible to add the feature in Remove AI to have the option to remove everything apart from the subject and/or what object the user selected to maintain?
Today the user has the ability to select an object to remove. but the user has no way to select to remove everything but the selected Object.
- User selects an object and/or a person as recognized as the āsubjectā (like all the Topaz AI models have, identify the subject) ā remove everything apart what was selected ā export the file as PNG that only the subject/selected object is present, the rest is transparent. similar to background removal. the function of the old Mask AI tool.
